Zearn

ZEARN

ALL ABOUT IT

Zearn is a math computer based intervention program that is aligned to our district’s Tier I Eureka curriculum.   All students are expected to complete their assigned Zearn lessons each week as part of their required learning.  Students will receive (3) Zearn grades each grading period based on lesson completion.  Additionally, there will be rewards and celebrations held throughout the year for students meeting the required expectations.

(3) lessons per week will be assigned that align with the current topic.  Lessons will be posted on the weekly agenda.  Students will work for 30 mins a day, 3 days a week during their scheduled intervention time.  Additionally, students will work for 15 mins daily during their math class.  Additional time will be given as time allows.

The expectation is for all 3 lessons to be completed weekly.  Lessons will be checked for completion weekly using the following scale: 3  lessons = A, 2 lessons = C and 1 lesson or less = F.   Every 3 weeks a grade will be entered in JCampus based on the average of the 3 weekly grades. A DOJO message will be sent out each Friday for students who did not complete lessons.

Weekly rewards will be for students meeting their weekly goal of 3 lessons.  End of 9 weeks rewards will be for students who meet their weekly goal every week of the grading period.  End of year celebration will be for students who meet their weekly goal a minimum of 30/36 weeks
